The Better Business Bureau of Utah is proud to announce the availability of BBB resources from your smart phone or mobile-enabled device. Now whenever you're on the go, you can check any BBB Reliability Report on any business from your iPhone, Blackberry, or other Internet enabled device.
The addition of mobile BBB reports adds a new dimension and will hopefully encourage consumers to check out businesses while considering purchasing from any business.
As is usual, your phone must have an Internet connection, and you should check your service plan to find out if Internet browsing is part of your plan or whether it has an additional cost. Instead of going to www.bbb.org, you can replace the www with the letter m, and go directly to m.bbb.org which is the mobile-friendly version of the site. From there, you can search for BBB Reliability Reports nationwide.
BBB Reliability Reports generally include information on general company contact information, and information about the length of time a company has been in business, and type of business. The BBB rating grade which ranges from A+ to F is displayed. The grade represents BBB’s degree of confidence that the business is operating in a trustworthy manner and will make a good faith effort to resolve any customer concerns. Reports include a summary of the company's complaint history including the number and type of complaints, if any, and if/how the complaints were resolved. BBB Reliability Reports will sometimes include other pertinent information developed through special BBB investigations, any advertising violations, and relevant government actions. Reports may also include informational tips or warnings on dealing with that particular industry.
BBBs issue reports on both BBB Accredited Businesses and Non-accredited Businesses, and reports on both are available from our mobile enabled browser at: m.bbb.org as well as our traditional website at: www.bbb.org. We hope to be able to serve BBB Reliability Reports more efficiently through this new technology.
